Litters

We have expected litters of Moyen Poodle Puppies!

1) Freya & Blaze – Mid-April 2024

As all studies and science in the past few years has shown us that it is actually healthier for a female to be bred each cycle and not “rested” between cycles as we used to do, theriogenologists (veterinarians who are specialists in reproduction) are now strongly counseling breeders NOT to skip heat cycles, as it’s actually detrimental to the female to do so. According to the reproductive vets, best practice currently is, once you begin, to breed her each cycle and then spay when she is retired so she doesn’t have too many “empty” cycles. Our small standard, Freya, has been bred to small moyen Blaze and their Moyen poodle pups are expected mid-April, going home in June. Freya is a sweet, super gentle girl who is wonderfully calm inside and playful outside. She has, as all of our dogs do, a wonderful off-switch; she matches her energy to yours. Blaze is loving, calm boy with a super solid temperament. (Read more about them and see more pics by clicking on their underlined names above!)

Freya is a tri-color girl (basically a black and white parti with tan eyebrows and cheeks), and Blaze is a solid apricot. We are expecting abstracts (solid-colored puppies with a bit of white – usually on chest and/or feet – either a tiny bit or a big splash) in black, blue, apricot, and cream. There is a possibility of black phantoms as well. Expected mature weight range for pups is 25-35ish pounds and height range likely from 17-21″.

Because it’s such a small breeding program, you are definitely best off going through the process and getting on the Reservation List, rather than waiting for available pups to be announced. My pups are almost always spoken for well before they are born; it is quite rare that there are pups still available once they are born.

Reservation List is already FULL for this litter. HOWEVER, because it’s far off, some people may drop off the list as we get closer. Plus, mom may have more pups than my guess. Additionally, I may not keep a pup, opening up another spot. So I will continue to accept questionnaires and put you on an overflow list in case a spot does indeed open up. I do not take deposits for that list. If a spot opens up, you will be transferred to the Reservation List in the order you came onto the overflow list. A deposit will be required once on the Reservation List. To get on the “overflow list”, please read The Process, then fill out the New Puppy Questionnaire, and then speak with me on the phone. (See “The Process“.) If all goes well, we’ll get you on the overflow list.
